After the announcement of infamous

After the announcement of infamous hacker group, Anonymous, to launch an attack against Malaysian government’s websites, a Malaysia hacker group, known as Dragon Force Malaysia has somehow followed their footsteps and has successfully defaced one of the government’s websites – TourMalaysia. It is believed that both the hacker group, Anonymous and Dragon Force Malaysia did this to protest against the Malaysian government for their failure to protect the basic human rights (accessing the internet is now a basic human right, as announced by the United Nation) for blocking sites such as MegaUpload.com, FileServe.com and Wikileaks.

Screenshot below:

Update: It seems that more and more Malaysian websites are getting hacked. The official portal for Malaysia’s polytechnic graduate department has been defaced. The website has been put up with the same page as TourMalaysia, but this time, with some comments from Facebook by internet users of Malaysia on the page, helping them to amplify their voice, protesting against the government of Malaysia for blocking websites.

The infamous hacker group –

The infamous hacker group – Anonymous, has threatened to attack Malaysia government’s site, www.malaysia.gov.my. It is certain that they would be launching the attack to protest against the government’s strict rules on the internet. ISPs in the country has begun to take action against sites such as Megaupload.com and FileServe.com after getting a notice from the country’s internet regulation board – SKMM. They have announced the attack and they plan to launch it on 15th of June 2011 7pm GMT.

Greetings, Malaysia, We have seen the censorship taken by the Malaysian government, blocking sites like The Pirate Bay, and WikiLeaks. Malaysia is one of the world’s strictest governments, even blocking out movies, and television shows. These acts of censorship are inexcusable. You are taking away a basic human right. The internet is here for freedom, without fear of government interference. Do not think that no one else notices. Your structured government has done the talking, and we hear loud and clear. Let this be an announcement to all your people. This is a sign, a warning, and an opportunity to listen to ideas above your own. In a way you are being stubborn. But how will this help anyone or your country. We fear that if you make further decisions to take away human freedom. We are obligated to act fast and have no mercy. For rules were meant to be broken. And corruption was meant to be washed away and forgiven. Now we will wash your corruption away so be prepared. Take this as a favor.

by Anonymous.

Update: It seems that Anonymous has hacked into SabahTourism.com. They’ve posted database of the site on this page – http://pastehtml.com/view/ax3mejiup.html

The LG Optimus Pad is

The LG Optimus Pad is coming soon. In YouTube, LG brags that it sets the standard for others. Is this really true? I don’t think so.

Although it comes with a dual core processor, a stereoscopic camera for 3D video recording and many other new technology in it, it boasts a price of €999 (price which is announced in Germany, which will be about $1340). This is really expensive compared to the iPad (of course this should be compared to the iPad 2 but it is not announced yet). With the new Android Honeycomb 3.0 inside, this little piece of gadget really writes a new page in the history of tablet. Yet, these features would be a little too much for ordinary consumers as the one who is believed by the consumers to be the one who really sets the standards for others – Apple has not released their iPad 2. An intense competition is on its way.

Will people buy it even though it’s so expensive? I doubt, but we will have to really look at the numbers before jumping to conclusions. Video below.

LG Optimus Pad’s specs:

8.9-inch display

Tegra 2 dual core processor

Two 5 megapixels cameras (able to capture 3D contents)

LED flashlight

Front-facing camera

Android 3.0 Honeycomb

Note: 3D glasses are needed to view 3D contents, it’s not glasses-free, unfortunately.

QR (Quick Response) code is very useful and convenient nowadays to quickly lead a person to a specific URL. Recently, I’ve been searching for a QR code reader for my bloody Symbian phone. Android and iOS users are lucky to have QR code reader apps ready and available for them to download while Symbian’s users, well, need a bit of luck since virtually no developers have any interest in Symbian anymore. Thank god I found one.

Upcode Reader, where you can find and download it here, is very useful and – my god it surprises me. It captures the QR code automatically and quickly lead you the specific URL. All you have to do is point your camera and fit the QR code in the green box and – avada kedavra!

Glad there are still apps that are able to surprise me on this old Symbian platform.

Bing, Microsoft’s search engine always has some really fantastic wallpapers as its background. Now, you can set those wallpapers as your desktop wallpaper and it is automatically updated through an RSS feed.

Windows 7 users only need to download the theme package offered by Microsoft. Double-click it and set “Bing Dynamic” as your theme. Your wallpaper will now rotate every minute or so. So to slow it down, just right-click on your desktop and select “Personalization” and there will be a “Desktop Background” link on the bottom. Simply click on it and you will find “Change picture every” on the bottom and you will be able to set the time interval to rotate your wallpaper. Although there’s a “bing” watermark on the wallpaper, but it’s small and not too ostentatious.

Bing Dynamic theme is for Windows 7 only. I’ve also uploaded the theme and if you’re facing any problems downloading it, click here for the Bing Dynamic theme.

Google launches Priority Inbox for it’s Gmail service. Gmail finds the important messages and sorts them out for you. Mails that are essential and important are displayed first, followed by starred e-mails and lastly, everything else. It works by checking which e-mails you read, which you reply to, and gives the mails priority. And even if the service goes wrong, you can always mark a message to be more important or less important.

As we know, Internet Service

As we know, Internet Service Providers all around the world are trying their best to throttle Internet users’ speed to maximize their profit by having more bandwidth available for more new users. One of the services they like to throttle is applications that use peer-2-peer (P2P) technology. Applications such as BitTorrent, uTorrent, LimeWire and Xun Lei are applications that use P2P technology. You fairly get any speed from these applications. BitTorrent, uTorrent and Xun Lei are bittorrent clients that use torrents to share file among the peers. I will not go deeply into this bittorrent protocol or P2P technology and if you wanna know more about it, click here.

Before, this website is known as Btaccel.com but now it has shifted to Torrific.com. This website lets you to download whatever torrent you want. It doesn’t matter what content or how big the file size of the torrent is. All you need to do is sign up for an account using your e-mail, and ta-da! Everything is set and ready to go.

Login using your new account. Now, copy the torrent you wanna download (as in URL form – HTTP download of the torrent). You can search for torrent in sites such as IsoHunt or ThePirateBay. Search for something such as “the cove” in IsoHunt. You will see something like this:

Now, copy the link’s location by right clicking on the “Download .torrent”. Go to Torrific.com and paste the link’s location into the space available and click the “get” button. It may take a while for the server to download your torrent file and they will notify you by sending you an e-mail if your torrent is ready to download. The file will be available on their server for two weeks. If the link has already been submitted by somebody else, the links would appear immediately. The download links will be generated.

Now, download all your files in the torrent at full speed!
